Lightweight high-performance sail rotors ECO FLETTNER
Together with other partners from the German-Dutch border area, Lais-Nord GbR is involved in the development and construction of a wind sail system with an aerodynamically working lightweight rotor.
With high rotational speeds, the rotor can energetically exploit a wide range of wind speeds. The additional wind energy generated means that the motor drive and thus fuel consumption and harmful emissions can be reduced. Under optimal conditions, the rotor can take over 100% of the drive.
